Fly Into Battle On A Neon Dragon In Dragon Saddle Melee
Destroy your enemies in a retro 2D platform dragon fighting game.
Today, two-man dev studio Main Tank Software released a retro-themed, multiplayer 2D combat game titled Dragon Saddle Melee. The game, now available on Steam, pits teams of dragon-flyers against each other in a classic 2D neon-colored platform environment in short matches where the goal is to eliminate the enemy by pouncing on them from above.
Each match can host up to ten players, five on each team. It doesn’t have to be that many, however. If you’d rather go it alone, the game does allow for solo play against AI. While the concept is pretty simple – jump on the enemy to take them out – the game does offer a bit more complexity. During matches, players will want to collect the powerups found throughout each level. These include shields, jetpacks, laser pistols, boomerangs, and more. Players will also need to watch out for various obstacles like electric walls and fireballs.
As mentioned, the game is now available on Steam. It’s not free-to-play, but the devs are only asking $5 for it, so it’s still pretty cheap – especially if you’re a fan of retro-style games and dragons.
