Fortnite Offers Players Power Leveling Weekend To Compensate For December Login Issues
There’s also a special reward for those who logged in during Winterfest.
It seems like December may have been the month of login issues for some games. That’s probably not that surprising, what with the holidays giving more people free time to play and take up server space. Well, that and things like hardware supply issues and the like. We all know the drill by now.
If you’re a fan of Epic Games’ Fortnite, then you know that the popular battle royale also had some login issues over the last month and, as is generally the case with these things, they’ve come up with a way to compensate the players. Since it’s a free-to-play game, free game time is off the table. That’s probably why they came up with a Power Leveling weekend instead. The event begins in two days, on January 7, and will last until January 10. Obviously, it’s not a long time to level, but those of you who are dedicated enough should be able to make the best of it.
As additional compensation, Epic is also giving everyone who logged in during the Winterfest event a Crescent Shroom Pickaxe. This same axe will be in the shop at a later point for players who don’t qualify.
As thanks for everyone’s patience during the December login issues, we’ll be kicking off a Power Leveling Weekend from 1/7 @ 7 PM to 1/10 @ 7 AM ET and granting everyone who logged in during Winterfest the new Crescent Shroom Pickaxe before it arrives in the Shop later! pic.twitter.com/d2xiIDnyl2
