Garfield Joins The Cast Of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl This Week
Cartoon cat is first of two free DLC characters coming to the game.
Today is Tuesday, December 7. That's notable because it's not a Monday, which would have been the wrong time for Ludosity to announce the first new character coming to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl: the Monday-hating, lasagna-loving, cash-vehicle-for-Jim-Davis comics-page cat Garfield.
The trailer for the tempermental tabby shows him duking it out with the game's cast of characters, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Ren & Stimpy, and April O'Neill. He uses is treasured teddy bear, Pooky, in one of his attacks and overall seems far more active than how I remember Garfield ever being portrayed.
In 2019, Nickelodeon owner Viacom acquired Garfield creator Jim Davis' Paws Inc., which held the marketing rights to Garfield.
Garfield will be added to the game as a free character on December 9, and the developer has promised that there will be one more free character, as well as several paid DLC ones.
