Genshin Impact Luna VI

A new Genshin Impact Special Program aired this morning, offering players of the free-to-play open-world action RPG a peek at the upcoming Luna VI update. No, we’re not headed back to Nod-Krai. (Well, at least for the main story. There is an event there.) Instead, we’re hanging out at home in Mondstadt for a bit longer. It might be a little difficult to believe that after all this time, we haven’t seen all there is to the nation of freedom, but we’ve never made it to Dornman Port, where all sorts of goods enter and exit the country. Nor have we seen the abandoned sanitarium we were told was there. Now, we’re going to see both.

As it turns out, the sanitarium is also where players will find a statue of the Anemo Archon that opens the path to the Temple of Space in the sky. It’s more than just a temple; this is a space where Asmoday keeps fragments of landscapes she’s taken from ancient civilizations. This includes the Luyang Academy from ancient Liyue, the Desert Pavilion from ancient Sumeru, and an area inspired by different civilizations, the Mahavaipulya Chamber. Traversing the area will require the ability to manipulate space, and if rules are broken, the guardian will go on high alert, and the environment will change. Of course, this is the Traveler we’re talking about. Some rules are going to be broken.

As for events, as mentioned above, we will be going back to Nod-Krai for some of those. The Voynich Guild is hosting a Trade Expo, and the Traveler will be helping Jahoda keep things under control. As a reward, they’ll get a Jahoda of their very own. The event includes several mini-games and features friends from all over Teyvat. We also have an event revolving around animals, and we will get to spend time with our Saurian friend again. There are other events as well.

Oh, and for the lore lovers out there, we’re finally going to meet Jean’s dad. That’s part of the new Traveler’s Tales.

Finally, as far as banners go, there will only be one new character this go-round, the changeling fae Linnea – a bow-using Geo character. She’ll also have her own story quest so players can learn more about her that way. The other character available on her banner will be Chasca. The second banner will feature Lauma and Nefer. In addition, a Chronicled Wish featuring five Fontaine characters: Emile, Clorinde, Navia, Sigewinne, and Lyney will be available as well.

Version Luna VI will drop in a bit over a week, on April 8. Before that, you can claim your free primos and other goodies using the following codes: LinneaClassTime, TempleofSpace, Scaleblade. Just remember to be quick about it.
