Guild Wars Reforged Verifies The MMORPG For Steam Deck And Adds Xinput Controller Support
The update includes a wide variety of improvements for the game.

Today, ArenaNet announced a major Guild Wars update. Scheduled to drop on Windows and Steam on December 3, this update includes the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns together in one package while also making the game Steam Deck verified. If you’re already playing Guild Wars, Reforged will be free to pick up. If you’re new, it’ll run you $20, which isn’t bad for a full MMORPG.
The update also brings several improvements to the game. For one thing, it introduces XInput controller support. For another, it adds high-DPI support for modern monitors, as well as other graphical updates like HD skill icons, rendering improvements, enhanced bloom, more font size options, improved audio, and more. There’s also a new quest tracker that should be easier to use.
Guild Wars Reforged is a co-project between ArenaNet and a 2weeks, a studio made up of former ArenaNet staff who wanted to return to work on the franchise. That means this is a bit of a passion project, and players should benefit greatly.
