Help ArenaNet Raise $50K For Extra Life And Receive Some In-Game Guild Wars 2 Goodies
The game company is raising money to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for its ninth year.

It’s that time of year again, where video game organizations put on their fundraising hats and pull together to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. For the ninth year in a row, ArenaNet is hosting a fundraiser through the Extra Life gaming marathon. This year they’re looking to raise $25,000, which they’ll match to donate a total of $50,000.
The livestream will kick off November 14 and run for 24 hours, ending at noon Pacific time on November 15. As part of their fundraising efforts, the devs are offering players some goodies in Guild Wars 2. Some only require players to log in – specfically between November 4 and November 25. Just for doing this they’ll receive the “The Extra Life” title as well as some in-game buffs. The percentage of those buffs will increase for every $10,000 in direct donations to Team ArenaNet for the Extra Life Fundraiser.
To encourage more donations, ArenaNet is offering an Extra Life Donation Bundle via the free-to-play MMORPG’s gem store. The bundle contains Karma Boosters, potions, and a new Mini Guardian Angel Blish. Players can also pick up last year’s Guardian Angel Pedestal chair if they weren’t able to acquire it before. The bundle is available between November 4 and November 25 as well. More details on how to participate in the fundraising efforts are available on the Guild Wars 2 site.
