Hunt Showdown Traitors Moon Event

Today, Crytek launched a new live event in Hunt: Showdown, taking players deep into the bayou. "Traitor's Moon: The Dark is Rising", offers players a chance to unlock four new weapons and additional rewards while looting corpses and smashing effigies. It’s sure to be a good time.

During the event, which runs until April 14, players will have access to new stackable boosters to help aid their progress. They'll also discover more about the evil plan to manipulate the corruption of the bayou. As for the new weapons, players can look forward to getting their hands on the Scottfield Brawler, the Berthier Riposte, the Caldwell Model 92, and the Winfield Model 93. This is an early access kind of thing, so if you don’t unlock the weapons during the event, you’ll have to wait until they’re "officially" available in the game.

In addition to the event, a new bit of DLC dropped today as well – Meridian Turncoat. This new content is available for $10 USD and includes a new legendary hunter named Turncoat. He has a bit of a dark backstory, having been sent to war and later accused of treason after being the only one to survive an ambush. Also included in the pack are two legendary weapons, a pair of Dolch 96 pistols, and a new legendary ammo crate.

Speaking of packs, players can also take advantage of a special sale during the Traitor's Moon event. The Traitor’s Moon Event Bundle adds a new choke bomb, 1000 event points, and a 24-hour Chary’s Contract at 15% off. Although, if you don’t want all of that and just want the bomb, it’s available as a separate purchase.
