Square-Enix in collaboration with development studio Psyonix have announced Nosgoth, a third-person PvP focused title set in the Legacy of Kain universe. Specifically, the game is about cooperatively working together as either humans or vampires to tear the other side apart. Check out the announcement trailer below.

Each side in Nosgoth possesses their own strengths and weaknesses. Humans, while frail and not supernaturally awesome, do possess superior range capabilities. Their proficiency with ranged weapons such as bows, grenade launchers, flamethrowers and the like allows them to pick off any Vampire caught at distance.

On the flip side, vampires in Nosgoth are faster and stronger then their human counterparts. Their movement skills allow them huge flexibility in how they choose to get close and personal for the kill.

Interested players can now begin signing up for the beta on the game’s official site.

Sounds fine and all but what about the Seraphim? You know, the holy crusaders who used to completely wreck vampires? Why you no acknowledge Seraphim Squeenix?!

I think the original Hylden/Vampire war would have been a more interesting time period than either after Raziel’s damnation into the Lake of the Dead or the Seraphim Crusade.

Man, I loved the Legacy of Kain series on console. Honestly, I’m pretty damned excited to get back into the world of Nosgoth, even if it is in a completely different way from the past.

Man, when I heard they where making a Legacy of Kain game a while ago I thought it would be a full game, with story and gameplay in the universe of the last games…but a pvp arena game…even if its really good, those games tend to just get boring after a while…

Yeah, that one was supposed to be “Legacy of Kain : Dead Sun”
It was supposed to be released on the PS4, but sadly got cancelled.

hmmm as a old fan i must try it but as an arena pvp game i think it’s a little waste of time but i will try it out

I was hoping they were making a single player game 🙁 or at least a mmo since that way they would be story elements but an arena idk sounds like a waste of a great franchise but as a fan its a must try i guess

I have mixed feelings with this… I loved the series on the consoles, so i might love this game, or hate it.

So this is Primal Carnage but with Vampires instead of Dinosaurs.
