Marvel Contest Of Champions Flames On With A Fantastic Four Celebration

Marvel fans have a little over half a month to wait for the release of the new Fantastic Four movie, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”. As we all know, a movie tie-in is only common sense for a fighting game built on the Marvel IP, so of course, the movie’s release is being celebrated in Marvel Contest of Champions.

What that means for players is that they can look forward to in-game events and giveaways. First, players will be helping the Fantastic Four with the Future Foundation by exploring the Battlerealm. Next, everyone has a chance to snag a 7-Star Mister Fantastic by looking for “Research Grant” collectibles during the Fantastic FORCE Saga.

In addition, players can take on the “Vaults of Variant” sidequest through July 9. And finally, logging in between now and August 14 will earn players daily rewards. Log in for seven days of progression and earn the entire Fantastic Four team for your roster.

In addition to the F4 content, Contest of Champions players also have the opportunity to earn The Maker and High Evolutionary as part of a Villain Takeover. These villains are rewarded on July 17 and July 31 via The Contest.

Marvel Contest of Champions is also getting a new type of quest, the Squad Builder. The idea is to form the highest-scoring squad, with squad formation being scored based on Factions and Grades. Players build their best possible squad in three swaps, and when they’re happy, they take on the boss fight to earn their score. Players will be granted 52 2-Star Champions to play this mode with for free.
