It's Hunters Versus Ghosts In Co-Op/PvP Spookfest Midnight Ghost Hunt
Early access title busts out next week.
"We've heard about a new ghostbusting co-op/PvP game, yes, but what about a second new ghostbusting co-op/PvP game?"
"I don't think he knows about a second new ghostbusting co-op/PvP game, Pip."
Well, now you do.
Midnight Ghost Hunt feels an awful lot like Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, which we got a grand preview of earlier this week, but with more of an indie flair and minus the world-famous IP. As in the previous title, you and three of your friends will travel to a ghost-infested location to hunt down the spooks, and the ghosts will do everything in their power to try and confuse and confound you as they try to evade capture.
As in Ghostbusters, you can play as the ghosts, but this isn't a 4v1 asymmetrical affair. Ghost teams also come in foursomes and can hide in various objects and use them to their advantage when the hunters' backs are turned. They can even take on the form of one of the hunters, sure to inspire some Among Us-style paranoia. It looks a little more brutal than the PG-rated property the other game is based off of, with the trailer showing off a ghost turning a live cannon on the hunters at one point.
You won't have to wait long to get in on the action, as Midnight Ghost Hunt launches into early access next Thursday, March 31. Learn more about the game on its website and Steam page.
