Krafton, Owners Of PUBG, Now Owns Swedish Developer Neon Giant Of "The Ascent" Fame
The Ascent developer is working on a new open-world FPS.
Krafton, the company that currently owns PUBG: Battlegrounds, has added another developer to its roster. According to their earnings announcement, the company now owns Swedish studio Neon Giant – previously known for their cyberpunk, co-op, action-shooter The Ascent.
Neon Giant’s next offering will be an open-world FPS, but we don't know if it'll be multiplayer yet. Considering the fact that The Ascent is primarily a single-player game with co-op features, it seems unlikely that they’ll be delving into an MMO space.
Instead, we may be looking at the solo open-world format with the ability to invite players in to help you with things – or for you to join them in their world. Obviously, at this point, we’ll just have to wait and see.
