Mortal Online Project Polish

With the release of their next patch, the Mortal Online II team will have completed everything on their existing roadmap. The final step is adding the Necromancy magic school. That said, not everything went as well as they’d hoped during this last roadmap cycle. It seems the rate at which they were trying to update both content and systems while providing players with plenty to do, has resulted in quite a few bugs. During alpha and beta, this wasn’t as big of an issue. However, as things have progressed and the game has become bigger and more complicated to develop for, they haven’t been able to devote as much time to the patches as needed and keep up the “update every two weeks” pace.

That means that content has been released too early. Systems were not completed properly or were just lacking polish. And, of course, there were bugs. As a result, the developers have decided that the end of one roadmap and the beginning of another is a good time to restructure how things work.

With that in mind, Star Vault has announced Code Name Project Polish. This project will take up the first part of the game’s next roadmap and will focus on fixing all those pesky bugs and adding…well…polish. It will also repair any issues and “solidify the foundations” of the game, providing the developers with a better structure to build on.

The dev team also has plans to improve the new player experience, including the game’s starting zones. Basically, there will be a bit more for new players to do starting out.
