New MapleStory Update "Stargazer" Brings New Class And Events, Plus System-Wide Improvements
We'll see you on June 11th ;)
MapleStory’s Stargazer update arrives on June 11 and brings a new class, events, and broad system improvements.
The newest class coming to the free-to-play MMORPG is Sia Astelle, a celestial magician who draws her power from the stars. As part of the Magician class, she uses Intelligence (INT) as her main stat and wields Celestial Light and a Compass as her primary and secondary weapons. When a dark wish disrupts the Star Spirit's work and causes the constellations to vanish, Sia enters Maple World to uncover the threat. She uses constellation-based magic to unleash devastating combos.
There’s also the Challenger World, a limited-time game mode coming with this update that provides big stat bonuses and a huge EXP boost. Players can face challenges and bosses for exclusive rewards, and then transfer their characters to Interactive or Heroic worlds afterward. The Hyper Burning MAX event returns as well, but with a twist — now granting +4 levels for every 1 earned, up to level 260. On top of that, Burning Events will take place.
Stargazer includes the Morning Star Banquet storyline too, introducing a high-stakes infiltration mission where players sneak into a grand gathering hosted by the High Flora. They must uncover more about Gerand Darmoor and his Apostles.
The update also has system-wide improvements that aim to make gameplay smoother and more rewarding. There’s the new Skill Sequence feature that lets players queue multiple skills to cast with a single button press. And Sol Erda Conversion now allows conversion into Faint Sol Erda Energy for storage or use in the new HEXA Booster. Additionally, updates to Arcane River quests streamline progression and let repeat players skip earlier steps, while Arcane Symbols now drop in greater quantities from Special Content.
Last but not least, we’re getting skill revamps for all jobs, a World Map Teleport system for easier travel, revamped UI screens (Quest Log, World Map, Mini-map), and improvements to Genesis Weapon Liberation, which now involves collecting Traces of Darkness instead of fighting the Genesis Crux. Finally, Monster Park gets a major update with faster medal acquisition and more EXP from the weekly Monster Park Extreme.
