Prospectors, get ready for better matchmaking and less cheating.

With Patch 3.4.0 for The Cycle: Frontier, YAGER has addressed concerns from players regarding issues with matchmaking. Significant changes have been made to the way players are registered and removed from servers during matchmaking to prevent server overcrowding and improve squad separation. The developers mentioned as well that they are committed to closely monitoring this topic and encourage players to provide feedback if they notice any differences or experience any issues.

Also, the team has stated they are committed to combating cheating in the free-to-play shooter, and even acknowledged that the current state of the game may not be ideal for some players. Therefore, the update includes various backend improvements and adjustments to their anti-cheat system to detect and prevent common types of cheats. These measures should have a noticeable impact on the game, though their effectiveness will be monitored and further adjustments will be made as needed. YAGER encourages players to contribute to the anti-cheat efforts by reporting any suspicious activity in-game.

Aside from improvements to matchmaking and efforts against cheating, Patch 3.4.0 includes weapon balancing and bug fixes. The update aims to maintain a healthy mix of early-game weapons without making them weak, and resolves several exploits and bugs. Some notable changes include adjustments to weapon stats, shorter storm cycles, increased chances of receiving certain items, and bug fixes related to gameplay, exploits, and UI.
