Today, during Devstream 193, the Warframe devs dropped two big pieces of news. The first was the game’s next big update, titled “The Shadowgrapher”. When the update drops on March 25, it will not only introduce new content to the game but also several changes intended to improve quality of life.

Players can expect a new 4v1 asymmetric survival horror match game mode, Follie’s Hunt. A team of four players must evade the ‘hunter’ Follie, who also happens to be the MMO shooter’s latest Warframe, as they work to complete unfinished paintings in the ruins of the Vesper Relay. This requires looking for pools of colored ink and applying it to the canvases.

Don’t be too surprised by the activity. Follie is a paint – or ink-themed Warframe. They can enter an ink canvas and, upon leaving it, use the ink to debuff enemies. Follie players will also be able to customize a sketchbook before battle to give themselves a tactical advantage. They can even summon an ink doppleganger to take damage for them.

The other big bit of news in today’s livestream is that the game will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch 2 on the same day as The Shadowgrapher update. The game has been optimized for the platform with 60FPS and 1080p resolution. This applies to both handheld and docked modes for the console. Players who log into Warframe on the console between March 25 and April 15 will earn an exclusive pack that includes the Vecicres Warfan weapon, the Akomeogi Warfan weapon skin, a Slicing Feathers Stance mod, and more.
