Path Of Exile’s Siege Of The Atlas Is Now Available On PC And Mac
The console versions arrive February 9.
Grinding Gear Games dropped Path of Exile’s Siege of the Atlas Expansion on both PC and Mac today, introducing all-new story content, a new league, and plenty of changes and challenges for players to enjoy. We covered a good bit of the new content and changes in our preview about a week ago, but if you’d really like a tl;dr, some of the things you can look forward to are four new bosses with their own unique currency, the introduction of Eldritch Implicits for item crafting, Voidstones which replace Watchstones in allowing players to level up their maps, and a revision of the Atlas Passive Skill Tree. Okay, so that’s basically a bullet-point list because really…you just need to read the preview post or at least watch the video at the bottom to get everything.
Or, if you’re the figure it out as you go along type. Well, now’s the time if you’re on PC or Mac. If you’re on console, you will have to wait a bit longer: until February 9. Luckily, that’s not too far off.
Of course, with the launch of a new expansion, Grinding Gear Games does have some celebratory events for players to take part in. In fact, one of them, the Siege of the Atlas Boss Kill event, takes place today. Do your best to kill three of the hardest endgame bosses in Archnemesis HC SFF Mode and walk away with some neat prizes. Several of the Prizes are the opportunity to help design a unique item that will drop from one of the bosses added in this expansion.
