Play Overwatch For Free During The Holiday Season
Take part in the holiday event while you’re there.
Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
Here’s a little something to do over the holidays. If you don’t already own Overwatch or aren’t ready to buy it – for whatever reasons – but wouldn’t mind spending some time playing it, Blizzard is offering a chance to play the team shooter for free throughout the holidays. In fact, the free trial more or less coincides with the game’s holiday event. The free trial ends on January 2 while the holiday event lasts until January 6. Both are underway now.
Those who play during the trial will be able to play in the event and unlock the Winter Wonderland skins as well as other cosmetics. Should they later decide to purchase the game, those items will carry over provided it’s the same account. And yes, crossplay will work for free trial players as well.
