Predecessor World Shift

A new battlefield-changing mechanic has been announced for Omeda Studios’ third-person MOBA, Predecessor. Named “World Shift,” this new feature dynamically transforms the battlefield in the middle of matches. This means paths, objectives, and environmental threats will all change as well, and that players will have to be quick on their feet, adjusting to those changes – while still also keeping an eye on their opponents.

Of course, it also means that players who are quick to adjust will be able to form strategies around these changes and gain an advantage over their opponents. Taking advantage of changed paths, new hidden routes, and hiding spots will have a significant impact on the outcome of the battle.

In addition to World Shift, Omeda Studios also revealed the game’s latest hero, Akeron the Demon King. The culmination of the Ashes of the Damned storyline, Akeron, is tightly associated with the corruption taking over the world. He’s a tank/offlane/jungle hero that can attack from walls and move over terrain using spider abilities.

Other changes players can look forward to in this update include the soft reset of the ranked season, a new battle pass, and the official launch in Japan. There are also performance tweaks, such as the addition of new support for DLSS.
