Destiny 2 Summer Solstice

There’s a lot to look forward to in Destiny 2 according to the latest This Week At Bungie post. Since summer is here, players will be celebrating in the game’s latest seasonal event, Solstice. As one would expect, the event includes festive decorations at the tower. It also comes with a revamp of the event’s EAZ activity and a new armor upgrade. There’s even a festive…uh…hat, for Ghost – the Sunny Exotic Ghost Shell. It kinda looks like something granny might wear to the beach.

On the armor front, events always have their own currencies and that’ll be what players will be using here to pick up items like the Candescent Hood. The currencies in question include silver leaves, silver ash, and kindling. Each is earned via different methods. Leaves are obtained by completing activities in the game. Ash is obtained by transforming leaves by completing the Bonfire Bash. Kindling can be earned by completing specific Summer Solstice challenges. Players will need to spend Ash to reroll armor stats and Kindling to upgrade armor stat potential.

On the PvP front, the Season’s Iron Banner has a new mode as well as several other updates. It’s the last of the Season, so players who want all their rewards need to get on it or wait until the next season.
