PvP Changes Continue in Guild Wars 2
ArenaNet has released a new update for its free-to-play MMO Guild Wars 2. The update continues the company's efforts to improve PvP in the game -- adding automated tournaments, a visual overhaul to Heart of the Mists, and more.
In addtion to the Heart of the Mists overhaul, ArenaNet has also added a public free-for-all arena and an exclusive VIP area that can only be accessed with a pass. Passes are awarded through tournament and league play.
Automated tournaments are daily, single-elimination tournaments that run on a shifting schedule. Players who participate in them will earn Qualifying Points that will be reset montly. The winning team each month will have statues put up in their honor until the next winners take their place.
Full details on all of this and more are available in the latest set of Guild Wars 2 patch notes.
