Ring Of Elysium Adds New Limited Time Event, Launches DirectX12 Client Beta For Windows 7
Aurora Studios has a couple of exciting announcements for Ring of Elysium players today. First off, DirectX12 is now available in beta for Windows 7 users. Players can opt-in to using the client via the in-game settings menu. The new client should allow for faster frame rates and more realistic visual effects. Just keep in mind that even if you do have Windows 7 or above, your hardware still needs to meet the DX12 requirements. These are:
- OS: Windows7 6.1.7601 and above
- Graphics card driver: 26.21.4.3615 and above (we highly recommend updating your graphics card driver to the latest version)
- Graphics card (Nvidia): GTX 750Ti, GTX 760, GTX 770, GTX 780, GTX 950, GTX 965, GTX 1060, 1660, 1660Ti, 1070, 1070Ti, 1080, 1080Ti, 2060, 2070, 2080, 2080Ti, GTX 1050Ti, GTX 1050, GTX 960, GTX 970, GTX 980, GTX 980Ti, Titan
The arrival of the DX12 beta client is accompanied by a new Limited Time Mode titled Battle Rush. The new event lasts until December 31, during which time players will have new daily challenges and return to some old favorites such as the Ashen Eye. Mondays are designated for Snipers during this event, as they will head to Mt. Dione where only sniper rifles and Desert Eagle weapons will be available. On Tuesdays Dusk Till Dawn Returns. Wednesdays are all about gliders and snowboards. And on Fridays, the Ashen Eye takes over.
And yes, there's something new. On Thursdays and Saturdays, players can take part in "Bombarded" on Europa Island during Battle Rush. The default weapon for this mode will be the RPG-7 with ammo, grenades, armor, and healing items popping up on the map. That's all you'll have to work with. The mode is faster too, so keep that in mind.
