Rumor: Source Claims A Mandalorian MMO Is In The Works By Zenimax Online
Included with the claim, The Elder Scrolls VI is apparently in its early stages.
Earlier today, Twitter user SkullziTV posted what he heard from an anonymous source at Bethesda, highlighting the full development of The Elder Scrolls VI is in its early stages. But surprisingly, viewers were shocked to see a Mandalorian MMO might be in the works by The Elder Scrolls Online developer Zenimax Online.
SkullziTV did confirm in his post that fans should take the news "with a grain of salt," and it hasn't been "personally verified." Despite that worry, fans couldn't help themselves when it came to speculating how the Mandalorian MMO might play out. One user on Reddit described that they would be interested in the game if it covered "the Mandalorians reclaiming Mandalorian space one world at a time," delving deep into the lore surrounding them. Another is excited to hear the rumor, stating that a "new Star Wars MMO would be awesome, especially if it's available on console."
Bethesda stuff I'm hearing from an anonymous source, please take this with a grain of salt, don't claim it as an inside statement from me:
- PvPvE game in dev at Roundhouse that may surprise you
- TES VI set in Hammerfell
- TES VI will have a political system

Most viewers follow the same pattern of excitement and speculation but it's rather spot-on to believe that Zenimax Online will head the project. The Mandalorian show is a Space Western that needs an expansive world and in-depth history if it's going to work. TESO is known for having some level of deep storytelling when it comes to questing and I could easily see a multi-weapon swinging bounty hunter character judging from TESO's current mix-matching skill tree. They have all the proper elements to make a solid MMO, but the player expectations of tons of planets to explore and space piloting might be a big feat to pull off.
Much of that translates to The Elder Scrolls VI, with the anonymous source stating that the game will be set in Hammerfell and have a political system. Apparently, the game is slated for a target release date of 2025-26 and is in its very early development stage.
