Sea Of Thieves Celebrates Fifth Anniversary In Season Nine, Now Available
The free update brings a new Plunder Pass, numerous QOL improvements, and fresh features.
Players have been sailing the seven seas of Sea of Thieves for five years now, and so the popular action-adventure, pirate-themed multiplayer game developed by Rare is celebrating this momentous occasion in Season Nine, which launched on Xbox and PC. This free update brings a new Plunder Pass, numerous quality of life improvements, and fresh features.
For starters, Chests of Fortune have started appearing in the conquered Fort of Fortunes. They contain Fates of Fortune cosmetics. Aside from that, swashbucklers can go on Voyages to find treasures like the Skull of Destiny which initiates the Fort of the Damned Event without having to die first. Last but not least, the Pirate Emporium has different items in stock.
Also, a Deluxe Edition of the game is now available, including all the permanent content added to Sea of Thieves since launch (plus extra goodies). The game is now Steam Deck Verified too for those who want to pillage on the go.
