Last month when we spoke with Todd Harris, COO of Hi-Rez Studios, the distribution of the prize pool for the upcoming SMITE World Championships hadn't yet been determined. That changed today when a recent SMITE blog announced the breakdown, along with some other details.

Currently the prize pool sits at just over $1.3 million USD as of the time of this writing but there's still about 8 weeks left for that pool to continue to grow. The team that finishes in 1st place will take home 50% of the final prize pool with 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place teams taking home 20%, 15%, and 10% respectively.

Want to watch the tournament live but can't make it in person? No problem there either as the SMITE World Championship (SWC) will be broadcast live on the official SMITE Twitch channel for a $24.99 fee. Customers buying the digital ticket will get a few perks for that rate including:

An ad-free stream
Access to subscriber-only chat
Access to exclusive Twitch chat emotes of the teams and SMITE gods
The 2015 Tyr Convention God Skin.
The SWC Ares God Skin
The SWC Ward Skin

If you're attending in person, you too will receive all of the above, except for the SWC Ward skin which is exclusive to the stream purchasers.
