Sony Offers All PlayStation 4 Players Free Games In The Play At Home Initiative
To keep PlayStation 4 Players at home and entertained, Sony has decided to provide everyone who owns the system some free games to enjoy. This is not the PlayStation Plus offering. (Let's be honest, it'd suck if they offered everyone the same thing some people are paying a monthly fee for for free.) However, the offerings do kind of tie into each other.
While PS+ subscribers are getting Uncharted 4 and Dirt Rally 2.0 as part of their sub, everyone will receive Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection (Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception) as well as Thatgamecompany's indie adventure game Journey for free.
Both The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey will only be available for free until May 5th. But, if you do grab them before then, they're yours to keep.
On an additional note, Sony has announced the development of a fund to help support smaller game developers. Currently, they've set aside $10 million to support these developers. Details on how the funds will be distributed will be released later, but the intent is to help keep the studios we rely on for entertainment going while crazy things are going on.
