Splatoon 3 Showcases Salmon Run Next Wave Mode, Announces Summer Release
Ink-redible!
Nintendo is banking on Splatoon 3 to be a big hit this year, and now it's got a release window for the latest installment in its inky shooter series.
Splatoon 3 is coming to the Switch in Summer 2022, and the announcement was made along with a new trailer for the game at yesterday's Nintendo Direct, which also showed off the newest iteration of Splatoon 2's Salmon Run mode, Salmon Run Next Wave. This version features a giant Salmonid, however, which is sure to increase the challenge level dramatically.
Apart from that mode, Splatoon 3 includes everything you'd expect from a title in the popular series: 4v4 PvP Turf Wars, story mode, new styles for Inklings and Octolings, and a new area to explore, the Splatlands. Learn more about the game on the Splatoon 3 website.
