Tokyo Game Show 2022 is well underway but who says only new releases get to have all of the fun? In addition to a new trailer exclusive to TGS 2022 (seen below), NARAKA: Bladepoint used the event to tease big plans for the rest of 2022 in the world of the 60-player battle royale.

On top of the new hero, map, and PvE campaign "Showdown" that the game has already received, NetEase and 24 Entertainment revealed a slew of updates and additions coming later this year.

In October, the second part of the Showdown campaign will release to all players and the new content is promised to be "covering more ground than the first; featuring new enemies, a new boss and loads more content."

On top of that, the game area will be growing quite a bit as, you guessed it, global warming comes to Holoroth, melting icebergs and revealing a major city, Yushan Ruins, hidden inside of them. Exactly how much this expands the map will remain a mystery for now.

Finally, as 2022 closes, Xbox One players can finally get into the fray when NARAKA launches on the system on December 22nd, but if you own the latest consoles, don't forget you can already check out the battle royale on the Xbox SeriesX|S via Game Pass on those consoles and on PC.
