The Cycle: Frontier’s Next Season Drops In March, And We've Got Price Increase News And A Cryptic Roadmap
And that’s just some of the news Yager has for players.
Season 3 is on its way to The Cycle: Frontier and finally players can get a look at what’s in store for them. A post published on the game’s site offers players a peek at the upcoming Season, beginning with the most important part – the launch date.
Mark your calendars for March 29, when the new season drops and brings with it the game’s last mandatory server wipe. (That doesn’t mean players won’t be able to do voluntary wipes in the future… should they want to.)
The lack of wipes does bring some technical changes with it. As players’ progress carries over from season to season, the devs will need to account for the impact on the game’s economy – making it “more long-term oriented”. This will apparently only really impact the endgame. Campaigns are being reworked as well, to live in the new economy.
We've also got a... well, "roadmap", but it's a bit cryptic at the moment (see below).
In additional The Cycle: Frontier news, those playing the game on Steam (and other platforms) will likely see the price go up. This is a response to Steam updating all of their regional prices and advising developers to make the change. The changes won’t take place everywhere. Steam provided developers with a list of countries. Yager announced the change on Twitter yesterday. As expected, the response was mixed.
Greetings Prospectors,
Last year in November the Steam platform updated of all their regional prices and provided a list of suggested changes to developers. This includes a general price increase for several countries across the world, based on official currency... pic.twitter.com/GWENBes42f
