The Cycle To Refund All 2021 Purchases As Original Version Of Game Shuts Down
And you'll get to keep all the stuff you bought!
Yager Development is giving back to the community of The Cycle, literally. With the second edition of the game is in closed beta testing at the moment, the first edition is now gone forever, having shuttered yesterday.
In a move meant to engender goodwill with fans, Yager, with the help of the Epic Games Store, has taken the uncommon step of refunding purchases made in that original version of the game this year. All real-money purchases made in The Cycle since January 1, 2021 are eligible for refunds, and players will get to keep the contents of those purchases. It's hard to find a better deal than that!
Players who are eligible for refunds will receive an email from the Epic Games Store, with the funds being credited to the account used to originally make the purchase. More information about The Cycle's refunds can be found here.
In general, all purchases made in the original version of The Cycle will also be carried over to the new game, with a few exceptions, related to elements that are no longer present in the new game. Various rewards are also on tap for veterans of the game, based on their play time.
