The Finals’ Latest Update Throws Players Into A Back-To-Back Gauntlet Of Chaos
Players will need to be on their toes to survive Protocol Overdrive.

I don’t know if players of The Finals have been asking to be thrown into more chaos, but that’s definitely what they’re getting. The F2P first-person shooter with a gameshow theme is ramping things up in its latest update, titled “Protocol Overdrive”.
The game’s newest World Tour, once again sponsored by ENGIMO, throws players into matches where gameshow events hit one after the other, meaning players will have to contend with a constant torrent of environmental issues like meteor showers and alien invasions. Protocol Overdrive will take place across four different arenas: SYS$HORIZON, Bernal, Kyoto, and Las Vegas Stadium.
The update also introduces a couple of balance changes for the CB-01 Repeater and Minigun weapons. The Repeater gets a boos to envirionmental damage while the Minigun has received a focus-firing accuracy upgrade. The devs also note that they’re considering what, if anything, to do regarding the Minigun’s spin-up mechanic. Before messing with it, they’ve opted to keep an eye on it throughout the season.
Of course, a new season means new store items, and players can find two new outfit sets and a bundle in the shop.
