Explore A New Megacity In The Finals With The Launch Of Season 9: Dragon Rising
The update introduces a new China-inspired map, 8v8 mode, and more.

Today, players of The Finals will have the opportunity to explore the free-to-play shooter’s new arena, a megacity inspired by both ancient and future China. Fangwai City is a vertical map with suspended pathways and tall structures. It’s also destructible, allowing players to change things to their advantage.
In addition to the new map, today’s update also introduces a new 8v8 attack-vs-defend mode. The mode takes place in waves with attackers pushing the front line and destroying objectives. Defenders must do everything they can to keep the attackers from making any progress.
Another feature of this update is the updated World Tour, which will make it easier to see their progress and what’s coming. This includes a new map that shows the full season’s path, including things like events, sponsors, and more. Speaking of sponsors, the game’s Sponsor System has been updated as well, with players no longer having to worry about not receiving items because of their chosen sponsor. Now, players will receive rewards from every sponsor all season long. Full details on this and other changes can be found in the update’s patch notes.
