The First Descendant December 2025 Stream

Earlier this week, Nexon hosted a dev stream for the free-to-play shooter The First Descendant. During the stream, the devs shared details on the December update (now live), which introduces the new Descendant “Ultimate Yujin” as well as a new infiltration operation and a new colossus, among other things. Of course, there are various improvements that were implemented during this update as well, including a Descendant rebalance and bug fixes.

The new Descendant boasts two Ultimate Skill Modules. These are Combat Protocol, a new combat-focused playstyle that allows Yujin to sustain his own HP and deal damage at the same time, and Battlefield Medic. That one is support-focused and Yujin will become stronger the more he makes use of it.

As for the new dungeon and the new colossus. The former, named Forbidden Sanctuary, is an experimental facility built for multiplayer co-op. Players who want to play with the new Descendant will be spending some time here. The colossus, Grim Reaper, is a mutated form of Death Stalker that features a poison-based challenge. A full rundown of the update can be found in the nearly 3-hour video below.

It should be noted that approximately half of this stream is the game’s 2026 roadmap – providing information on what players can expect through the Season 4 Episode 1 update in the Summer. The full details are available in the stream, but if you’d just like a quick glance, the infographic below should help.
