The First Descendant’s April Update To Include Beta Version Of New Endgame Content
Help test the “Onslaught Mode” and complete a survey to earn rewards.

Starting April 16, players of The First Descendant will be able to beta test the free-to-play shooter’s upcoming “Onslaught Mode”. This new mode is a defense mission that requires players to stop the Vulgus from reaching an objective. If too many monsters get past their defense, the mission fails. The good news is that the more monsters players eliminate, the more currency needed to build and upgrade turrets they will earn, making it easier to solidify their defense. In addition, at the end of different waves, players will be given ability options that they can use to improve themselves.
Onslaught Mode is designed so that players will have to play across three zones, each with its own quirks. At the end, players will have to fight a ‘Colossus’.
Testing of the mode will last until April 29. During that time, a Survey Event will run in tandem, ending on April 28. Fill out the survey and earn in-game rewards, including Crystaliization Catalysts.
The beta test is part of a larger update. So players can also expect balances and improvements. Balance updates for Viessa and Harris, as well as weapon balancing, are all part of what’s coming.
