Guild Wars 2 Drops Its First Raid In 5 Years Next Week With The Launch Of Janthir Wilds' "Godspawn"
Get back to work on that legendary Klobjarne spear.
It's been a long time since Guild Wars 2 introduced a new raid. 5 years, in fact. When the MMORPG revealed their raid plans a little ways back, I mentioned that if you like this content, make sure to go do it if you hope to see more added in the future. The team is using the return of this 10-person raid to determine how they proceed with this content going forward.
Things kick into high gear next week on November 19th when ArenaNet drops the first update post-Janthir Wilds. "Godspawn" continues the expansion's main story while adding a climb for you and your friends. Head up Mount Balrior and take on multiple encounters with Titans to score some sweet gear and cosmetics.
Godspawn also adds a new Convergence encounter allowing up to 50 players to tackle a reinterpretation of the titan Decimain in a multi-objective battle.
Legendary farmers will want to get started working on their Klobjarne spear and picking which of the weapon's six different looks strike their fancy.
It's great to be back in the raiding scene, so let's let the team know we want more!
If you own Janthir Wilds, Godspawn is a free update.
