It’s time to return to Vana'diel.
SQUARE ENIX has released the November update for FINAL FANTASY XI. There’s a change to enemies in Normal and Intense Ambuscades, a new battlefield in the Aht Urhgan region featuring Flans, and the return of Poroggos and heartwings in Ambuscades.
A new co-op event named Vana’Bout has been announced for late November too, where players worldwide can collaborate to accumulate points by completing special Record of Eminence objectives, earning them rewards. And the 2023 Login Campaign, running until December 2, allows players to receive points for in-game items — including the special Chocobo Chair II.
You can also check out the WE ARE VANA’DIEL website, which is dedicated to the MMORPG. It’s been updated with new content, offering insights into the game's development and history. The website features a discussion where Nobuaki Komoto and Koichi Ogawa delve into their involvement with the Chains of Promathia expansion.
Additionally, a crossover alliance raid titled "Echoes of Vana'diel" was announced for FINAL FANTASY XIV's upcoming Dawntrail expansion. The 24-player alliance raid will showcase content from FFXI and will be further detailed at the FINAL FANTASY XIV Fan Festival 2024 in Tokyo scheduled for early January.
