Throne & Liberty Is Already Rolling Out The Server Merges In Korea
Hopefully the mergers will fix party queues.
About a month after the launch of Throne & Liberty in Korea, NCSoft is already implementing merges. On January 17, the MMORPG’s 18 servers will become seven. In some cases, two servers will become one while others will merge three servers into one.
According to the post on the PlayNC site (translated via Google), the reason for the merge is related to party queues. Content like Paola’s Dimension, dungeons, and field bosses have had difficulty with party recruitment. The team is hoping the merge will take care of this.
The post does not directly seem to mention game population – although, that could just be Google Translate being terrible at its job, but a merger this early in the game’s life cycle doesn’t seem like a particularly good sign.
That said, a new update did drop today, adding new content. Perhaps that will help.
