Valve Finally Responds To Player Frustrations On Bots In Team Fortress 2, Claims To Be "Working To Improve Things"
"TF2 community, we hear you!"
In recent years, Team Fortress 2 has been crawling with countless automated bots that have rendered the game unplayable in many ways making fans of the series protest their frustrations on Reddit or other internet outlets against Valve. Today, Valve finally spoke up on Twitter (after a, no joke, almost 2 year Twitter silence...like TOTAL not a single tweet silence) and stated that they "see how large this issue has become and are working to improve things."
The timing of their response is a bit skeptical because it makes an appearance amid a fan-led campaign from Team Fortress 2 players wanting to end the game's bot infestation. The official Twitter account for TF2 may have acknowledged the botting issue, but it seems like a band-aid over the issue and seems more focused on rallying players.
TF2 community, we hear you! We love this game and know you do, too. We see how large this issue has become and are working to improve things.

The botting issue has led to endless spam in chat, player sniping during matches, and server crashes just to name a few issues. As a 15-year-old game and one of Steam's top 10 games with the most players, it's unusual for a massive campaign to be required to light the fire under the developers to move for actual change when it was always a problem.
But it's hard not to address the campaign when it has a massive backing; they really had no choice but to respond in a supportive way. The campaign has received over 38,000 upvotes and 2,410 comments to end botting in TF2. As of this writing, it is a "peaceful protest" and seems to remain that way after the comment from TF2's official Twitter.
How bad do you think the TF2 botting issue is? Let's talk about it below!
