Warframe 1999 News, Soulframe Preludes Opening To The Public, And More From Today's Digital Extremes Stream
Warframe 1999 is dedicated to Warframe's first art director who sadly passed away this month.
As Warframe continues their countdown to the Warframe 1999 update, the looter shooter's team took to YouTube today to present the latest Devsteam presentation. Sadly, part of this presentation was the first of multiple planned tributes to Warframe's first art director. Mike ‘Mynki’ Brennan passed away on October 15th after just having celebrated his 50th birthday. Warframe 1999 has been dedicated to him by the team.
When it comes to news on the company's titles, let's start with the upcoming MMORPG Soulframe. While the game is still in its "Preludes" phase, basically a pre-alpha, new content has been and is still being added. Five new weapons have been unlocked for testers and the combat and skills system that goes with chosen weapons has been improved. Higher tier rewards have also been added via new open world events and encounters. You'll find these on your map.
If you're currently a tester, expect to receive some invites you can pass to friends and family in your email soon. If you haven't been invited yet, the team is planning to open up Preludes to the public in 2025 sometime. We'll need to wait for an exact date, though.
On the Warframe side of the business, obviously the upcoming Warframe 1999 update was a huge part of today's show. While the update is coming in December, a webcomic will be dropping in November if you want to get an in-depth look at the origins of the Protoframes featured in 1999. Xaku will release on November 13th and we'll also see the Trinity and Nyx frames get a rework ahead of 1999.
Content-wise we also received news of corrupted copies of boy band On-lyne as new musical boss types, the Technocyte Coda, AKA the “Infested Adversaries System”
Hit it all up in the show below.
