Wuthering Waves Version 2.8 Update Will Take Players To A City Frozen In Time
Everyone’s trapped living the same day again and again.

Now that Wuthering Waves has concluded our journey in Rinascita and the region is busy rebuilding, it’s time for Rover to return home to the Black Shores and spend some time with the gang. Or… the gang could accidentally summon a rift into a Sonoro Sphere where everyone’s trapped, living the same day over and over again. We could do that too.
Actually, that’s what we will be doing, since the team’s research into the Threnodian Gem we managed to obtain during the Rinascita battle did, in fact, open such a rift. The rift in question will take us to what’s known as a “Chronorift Metropolis” named Honami. It’s a city that was destroyed by the Lament years ago, but the frequencies of it and everyone in it were trapped in the sphere on the same day. It’s also a city that really reminds us what the world must have been like before the Lament occurred all those years ago – looking like the thriving city it once was, instead of cities built on top of the remains of the old world.
This is where we’ll find ourselves when the free-to-play action RPG’s Version 2.8 update – titled “To the City Set in Amber” drops on November 20. There we’ll meet the game’s next 5-star Havoc Resonator, Chisa. A broadblade user armed with a giant pair of scissors, Chisa’s Forte allows her to “clip” out spaces based on resonance. She used this ability to create a safe space for herself in Honami, clipping out a cafe. The scissors are multi-functional and able to change shape to meet her needs in combat – or just serve as a place to sit.
Rover will also meet a cute capybara-like creature named Namipon, who serves as the city’s guardian and Rover’s guide. The creature can tap into the city’s frequencies to create food and other items, and will be the host of a few of the game’s upcoming events, such as a paranormal investigation event and a café décor event.
The other new Resonator being introduced is someone all Wuthering Waves players should be familiar with by now. We’re finally getting our girl, Buling. Buling will be a four-star Electro Resonator available on the second Convene banner. She comes armed with a variety of gadgets and uses a Rectifier as her primary weapon.
Speaking of the Convenes. The first one, available on November 20, will feature the new five-star Chisa as well as a return of Phoebe. The second is a double return. Phrolova and Cantarella are on their way back. There’s also a pretty attractive new outfit for Zani being introduced to the game’s shop.
Of course, the update also includes more quality-of-life Updates as well. Notably, the devs have made it easier to build our characters, eliminating a lot of the need to move between menus. They’ve also made small tweaks to the event menus, making challenges easier to access, and made some more graphical improvements.
Finally, we have the codes for this stream. These are: ENDLESSSUMMER, CRUMBLEDCITY, and SLICEDSPACE.
