Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Cheat

Cheating is a big money maker in competitive games like Activision’s Call of Duty, and plenty of cheat sellers exist. For developers, it’s a constant battle to keep the game fair for players, so when a rather large cheat seller goes down quietly, it seems like a pretty big win – even if there are plenty of others waiting to take their place.

Over the weekend, Mobius – one of the largest cheat providers for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 – announced that they would be shutting down. The reason is to comply with a cease-and-desist issued to someone affiliated with the group by Activision. At the time of the announcement, Mobius boasted about 3000 users.

Mobius is not the only mod group that Activision has taken aim at with cease-and-desist notices. Another popular one would be X Labs. This is all just part of the never-ending battle around mods and cheats in competitive shooter games – which also includes implementing anti-cheat software and punishing individual users.
