Lineage II Summer Update Brings New Classes, Bosses, And Customization Across All Versions
Wolf Waker, Rose Vain, Glacika, and Steel Citadel.
The Lineage II Summer Content Update, arriving on August 12, 2025, introduces sweeping changes across all three of the free-to-play MMORPG’s game versions: Live, Aden/WOLF, and Classic.
Lineage II: Live gets the Wolf Waker class — a melee powerhouse exclusive to Human males who channel werewolf powers through deadly transformations and heavy fist weapons. Players can also face a new open-world boss, Chaotic Golem, which spawns randomly in the Plundered Plains and vanishes if not defeated quickly. Meanwhile, Wynn Summoners gain new unique summons tailored to their combat roles, and the new Khashi Orc storyline adds solo dungeon quests with collectible material rewards.
Lineage II: Aden/WOLF gets the Rose Vain — a sleek, agile Dark Elf dagger class exclusive to female characters that’s capable of battlefield control through debuffs and skills like Briar Storm. Major upgrades enhance support classes like Cardinal and Shillien Saint, while Orc Shamans receive reworks and new skills like Pyro Vortex. A new Cosmetic System introduces customizable Weapon Skins, Kill Effects, and Name Decorations, alongside a Collection System that boosts stats based on item sets. Additional updates refine gameplay for Death Knights, Assassins, and Dagger users, adjusting skill power, cooldowns, and resistances.
There’s also Glacika, a powerful new guardian boasting abilities like Whiplash, Paranoia, and Avalanche. Her unique passive skill, Carnage Play, and enhanced equipment bonuses bolster character strength. The Guardian system has also been expanded with new passives and higher-spec gear to deepen customization and progression.
Lineage II: Classic gets a new endgame zone, Steel Citadel — a daunting fortress on Hellbound Island filled with challenging enemies and bosses. Players can boost their performance with Legendary and Mythic Dolls, as well as new Doll Collections to enhance PvE and PvP capabilities. The Classic version also adopts the Cosmetic System, allowing players to save and re-use their visual gear enhancements from the Private Warehouse.
