Starlight Story: New Browser MMORPG From Aeria Games
Aeria Games has announced yet another upcoming browser game. Starlight Story revolves around a journey to save a dying planet, which requires just the right amount of a certain resource in order to survive. But that resource like any important resource is dwindling, and it is of course up to the players to find a way to prevent the inevitable apocalypse and overall death of the planet.
Luckily players wont just have access to their standard weapons and abilities (after all how does one save an entire planet with just a sword!). To aid them in the task, players will be granted access to Superstar transformations, allowing them to assume the form of previously slain bosses while simultaneously causing massive amounts of paparazzi to surround you and take pictures of your superstar status. Ok so maybe that last part isn't quite true but the transformations do give players significant stat boosts and hopefully some different abilities as well.
Pet companions seem to be an integral part in the combat system as well, fighting alongside players from the very beginning of the game. Pets can also share in the transformations, taking on new shapes alongside transformed players.
No word yet on a release date but players can sign up for closed beta now here.
