After 8 Years In Operation, Revelation Online Will Shut Down in 2024
It's almost impressive that the MMO hadn't shut down earlier than this.
Revelation Online, the MMORPG from MY.GAMES, had a good run...or maybe an ok run...or how about a run, yes, it certainly had a run.
That run is coming to an end as the team announced that the MMO will close its doors on March 13, 2024. The cash shop will remain open until the shut down, but payments will be deactivated as of today.
It's not all that surprising, really. Honestly, I'm a bit amazed that the game made it this long. According to Steam Charts, there are 7 people playing right now, and the highest the MMO reached in the past year was 25 peak players.
Granted, Revelation Online isn't JUST available on Steam, it has its own launcher, but the Steam counts do tell a portion of the story. That, and the fact that the last major update, Skyward World, was over 3 years ago pretty much paints the picture leading to today's announcment.
