Gameforge has announced the Light of Atreia update for AION Classic EU, set to release later this month. The 4.0 patch combines two major updates from other regions into one refined version tailored for European audiences of the free-to-play MMORPG. Built in collaboration with NCSOFT, this comprehensive release incorporates community feedback to rebalance drop rates, progression pacing, and overall accessibility, promising smoother and more rewarding gameplay across both PvE and PvP.

The update introduces the Luminess, a new female-only Mage class who fights at close range using light-speed attacks. She can stack skills for amplified effects, inflict status ailments like Silence and Stun, and bolster party abilities through her unique “Forte” system — making her both a strong damage dealer and support unit.

Other additions include the new Tiamaranta Mesa battlefield, blending aerial and ground-based PvPvE combat; two new dungeons, Iron Citadel and Labyrinth of Echoes; the Cradle of Doom PvP dungeon; and large-scale raids featuring new bosses such as Arch Tatar and Hexad.

Light of Atreia also raises the level cap from 60 to 70, revamps all class skills, reintroduces the Daeva Attendance Book, and adds new systems like Siel’s Hammer & Anvil crafting and Altar of Transcendence stone enhancement.
