Beyond The Veil Patch

Sandbox Interactive has announced that Albion Online's next massive content update, "Beyond the Veil," will release on November 21. With the patch comes a new zone called The Mists, the city of Brecilien, unique items to equip, extremely-rare resources, and much more.

Game Director Robin Henkys at Sandbox gave an overview of the upcoming patch in a recent Dev Talk, but their announcement blog provides more information for fans. Mainly, The Mists zone will have portals opened by Will o' Wisps creatures and has a wide range of PvP and PvE possibilities players can enjoy in non-lethal and lethal areas available.

Hidden deep within the ethereal map sits the ancient city of Brecilien. It has no fixed physical location and is only reachable through portals in The Mists and the Roads of Avalon. As usual, Brecilien will follow the trend of bonuses for Player Islands, Marketplace, Bank, and crafting stations like other cities.

Beyond the Veil Patch 2

The strange creatures dwelling within The Mists will drop new Artifacts to craft special items known as Fey Armor. There will be nine pieces across the three armor lines that offer unique spells, such as "Spider Thread" to slow down enemies or pull them close, and "After Image" to summon an illusory double to confuse enemies. While hunting for these Artifacts, mobs and treasures will upgrade over time in The Mists, including monsters like the Wolpertinger and Beilweaver dropping powerful items.

In the Outlands of Albion, a new enchantment-level resource "Pristine" will rarely appear in black zones. They will show on the map as Resource Treasure and will be viewable by others, forcing players into combative scuffles to win high-level resources. Elsewhere in the patch notes discusses reworking Roads of Avalon for solo and duo players, quality-of-life improvements to the UI, and modification to mobile targeting and casting.
