Albion Online Details Biome And Open-world Graphical Rework
More "varied and exciting" combat on tap.
Lands Awakened is the next major update Sandbox Interactive has in store for Albion Online players, and it's slated to be an earth-churning expansion to the sandbox MMORPG. Its stated goals are to get more open-world action in the game, with "varied and exciting PvE," small-scale PvP battles, and better rewards.
To that end, Albion's biomes are being reworked to increase visual diversity, and increase "the enjoyment of traveling." Each of the five biomes, and their three sub-biomes, will see changes, and map layouts are also going to be made to be more intuitive and less cluttered. More strategic choke points will also be added, as appropriate for their environment.
All the upheaval necessitates some movement of hideouts, which will be "automatically placed as close as possible to their original location." Guilds will have one opportunity to change theirs a short time after the update launches.
Lands Awakened comes to Albion Online in late November. Learn more about it on the Albion website.
