Albion Online Raises Over $40,000 For COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund
Throughout the month of April, Sandbox Interactive held a charity fundraiser to support the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. The company sold special Charity Packs to Albion Online players containing a special costume item, the Staff of Hermes, and a unique avatar ring.
Now that the fundraiser is over, they've tallied the donations and it turns out to have been fairly successful. In fact, players raised over $40,000 USD (or, more accurately €42,644.94) for the charity. These funds will help the COVID-19 Solidarity Fund buy and ship essential supplies needed to care for patients.
In addition to the successful fundraiser, the Albion team also announced the launch of the game's Season 9 patch today, which brings updates to the mobile experience, introduces storage to the game's "black zones", and makes a variety of quality-of-life improvements.
