Anticipated Anime MMORPG Blue Protocol: Star Resonance Launches Today
Players across the globe can hop onto the game’s mega-server.
If you thought it wasn’t actually going to happen, well, it has. Shanghai Bokura Network Technology’s anime MMORPG Blue Protocol: Star Resonance officially launched today. The game launched globally on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as iOS and Android, welcoming players to a single, unified mega-server. This means that players in North and Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Oceania can all play together.
Unfortunately, although the game only officially went live this morning, it’s already sporting a mostly negative rating on Steam. A number of those reviews are based on the mega-server as players in Oceania and other areas seem to be struggling with their connections. Other complaints tend to be ones more standard to games designed with both mobile and PC in mind. Some players find it to be a glorified mobile game, highlighting things like auto-walking and auto-battling, a gacha system, and the like.
On the other hand, there are positive reviews stating that the players haven’t had the same experience. If nothing else, the server complaints seem valid. They’re definitely something the devs should want to look at.
