The Bocek Compound Bow returns as well.
Free-to-play first-person battle royale shooter Apex Legends released Season 25: Prodigy yesterday.
This new season introduces a new Legend named Sparrow, an agile and tactical archer. His abilities include a passive double jump, a tactical Tracker Dart that reveals enemy movements and activates beacons remotely, and an ultimate Stinger Bolt that shocks and slows enemies. Sparrow is temporarily free for all players for the first two weeks and can be unlocked through challenges.
Season 25 also marks the return of the Bocek Compound Bow with revamped mechanics, including explosive arrows when combined with Frag Grenades. And, the fan-favorite Arenas mode is back. Original Arenas can be access now until May 19, Modified Arenas takes place rom May 20 to June 23, and a new 1v1 Duels is coming later.
Additionally, the Battle Pass system has been revamped, and other changes have been made to the game itself. Gameplay improvements include weapon balancing, a new Golden Sniper Stock attachment, enhanced anti-cheat systems, and audio issue detection.
Pathfinder has been reworked too, with stronger mobility and defense, such as a variable cooldown Grappling Hook, extra charges, and improved zipline protection. Ranked mode has been overhauled with new challenges and ladders, while allowing progress in regular matches to count toward ranked advancement.
