ArcheAge Secrets of Ayanad Update Raises Level Cap
Things always get a little dicey in ArcheAge come update time. This is particularly the case when the update includes new land that can be snagged up by players. It's almost impossible to set a start time that will be equitable to all players. Someone somewhere is going to feel like their time zone was cheated out of housing based on the patch's launch time. I don't envy Trion Worlds in this regard.
Besides that, and the usual slew of "I can't login" issues, the Secrets of Ayanad update did go live in the NA version of XLGames' free-to-play MMORPG pretty much on time this week. The new update adds the Diamond Shores area which in the NA version of the game is a hotly contested zone that cycles between times of peace and times of war. Players can farm up honor during times of war.
In addition, the character and skill level caps have been raised to level 55 and players are rewarded with a skill point for every level above level 50. The experience required to level for each level beyond 50 was also reduced when compared to the Korean version of the game. This means new skills were also introduced. On the gear front, the Obsidian weapon quest line was introduced and you can check out our full write up of that process for more details. For you PvE players, the Ayanad Library adds some new challenges for those with the talent to take them on
Secrets of Ayanad includes the usual round of bug fixes and system changes as well and also introduces 3 new "Secrets Packs" available for purchase. The price tags range from $49.99 to $149.99 USD depending on the pack you want. Patron status is included in each package.

It's kind of a delay if you look at previous years, but we didn't technically have a release date yet anyway.

Over 2000 Steam reviews so far put the game at a "Mixed" rating.

When you're done there, some new building tools, gear, and clothing customization options have been added, too.

Doing so gives you new abilities...but they do come at a slight cost, including looking like you're falling apart.
I see this as an attempt to recoup the losses from their previous mistakes. It's only going to make things even worse.
this is quite sad actually, and a bit funny too
